South Africa - November 2011

  • Pilanesberg landscape
In November 2011 we traveled to South Africa and brought Charles's parents along for the ride. We spent a week in and around Cape Town, a few days near Hartbeespoort and the Cradle of Humankind, a couple days at Pilanesberg National Park, and two days with my friend Stephanie and her family in Pretoria. It was a FANTASTIC trip! There are (currently) 78 photos in this album and don't include some of the great places we visited or people we saw. I may add more as we finish weeding through the approximately FOUR THOUSAND photos we took. Seriously. It was a great trip.

Ha! It's like you're being invited back home by the universe...literally, to your home.

I don't envy you the decision; having reached "escape" velocity it would be pretty hard to come back.

Your mother

That lovely little starter house has paint colors that match the tastes of some people I know that used to live in Ann Arbor. But they kept up the yard a little better.

wow! how funny is that?

yikes, that's intense. i wish you guys were here to experience the euphoria going on post-election tho. not sure if you can fully catch the vibes over there, but folks here are seriously over the moon. it's an obama love-fest!

Oh, that looks like my neighbors house... I remember the old neighbors the used to live there. Crazy people... but we loved em!!!

amazing isn't it that your lovely home or the one you had is available...small world. now to steady the michigan economy a little...

We sure do miss the old 'hood and the neighbors. Well, all the neighbors except "the one." (I'm looking at you, Miss Gulch!)
