South Africa - November 2011

  • Pilanesberg landscape
In November 2011 we traveled to South Africa and brought Charles's parents along for the ride. We spent a week in and around Cape Town, a few days near Hartbeespoort and the Cradle of Humankind, a couple days at Pilanesberg National Park, and two days with my friend Stephanie and her family in Pretoria. It was a FANTASTIC trip! There are (currently) 78 photos in this album and don't include some of the great places we visited or people we saw. I may add more as we finish weeding through the approximately FOUR THOUSAND photos we took. Seriously. It was a great trip.

Grandma formerly of Michigan

I love that there are lots of things my daughter loves about Michigan. I also miss Meijers. After 7 years in beautiful NC and all the good things here - there is nothing to compare to Meijers.

I love it when I get a package from my mom, and she uses extra plastic bags for packing material... some are always from Meijer's and it makes me smile. Oddly, I have a hard time shopping there because it's always so crowded.

And don't forget Vernors!!!! :)

Krees,

your last two posts made me laugh. Coffee, yes, I agree whole-heartedly (coffee = Nescafe in Turkey.) Also, why is it that every Eddie Bauer t-shirt I own says "100% cotton Made in Turkey," but I cannot FIND a cotton t-shirt in Turkey?? Why do Turks love polyester so??

I hope you get good'n'filled up on all your favorite treats, and I hope you all have a smooth journey home to NL. Happy travels!!
