In November 2011 we traveled to South Africa and brought Charles's parents along for the ride. We spent a week in and around Cape Town, a few days near Hartbeespoort and the Cradle of Humankind, a couple days at Pilanesberg National Park, and two days with my friend Stephanie and her family in Pretoria. It was a FANTASTIC trip!
There are (currently) 78 photos in this album and don't include some of the great places we visited or people we saw. I may add more as we finish weeding through the approximately FOUR THOUSAND photos we took. Seriously. It was a great trip.
We still don't have connectivity at home, so I'm sneaking in a quick update from work. Erik took this photo of Aldus while we were in Copenhagen. Thanks Erik!

well, we do have a few things at home right now keeping us busy... :)
there is (as always) the dog, plus our new place (rental), installing new lamps/wiring, assembling a house full of Ikea furniture (remember that scene at the beginning of 'fight club'...), preparing the back jungle/yard (we pulled a 10x10 yard section that was weeds and planted grass and now have to get rid of mice, remove invasives, etc etc etc/tale of woe), stare at the pile of thank you cards that we have still not finished writing/sending/collecting envelopes, dealing with KLM who lost our big (and new) suitcase *before* we checked into our flight a few weeks ago (yes, before), etc etc etc.

I can't imagine that Charles is living without home connectivity this long - what is he doing in the middle of the night to keep himself busy??
