One of our baby books advises introducing a bottle to the baby at around 3-4 weeks. We'd hate for Aldus to show up at the babysitter's when I return to work in August and refuse the bottle. So this week we also tried having Charles feed Aldus with mixed results.
The first attempt didn't go very well.
The second attempt - with breastmilk and a proper bottle - proved much more successful!
This post was written while listening to my son snore away in his sling.
He looks just like you, Charley!!! :)
Wait -- not sure if you've added yellow booties to go with your klompen....

Did you ask him if he would prefer Sam Adams or Guiness? Beer drinkers can be cranky.

What is the pink loaf on the plate? It looks Nether-licious.......

Ahh yes -- the pink item on the plate is a "gehaktbal met spek". A giganto meatball wrapped with bacon. The meat counter at the grocery store sells some pre-cooked items like this, and Charles decided to pick one up and try it out. Unfortunately, whatever seasoning they use to cook this stuff sends my stomach reeling. (Not sure if it's a holdover from the pregnancy or if it really just smells gross.) But anytime they're cooking at the grocery store, I have to avoid the meat counter. So I also avoided the gehaktbal he bought. Charles thought it was fine, though.

Judging from the first picture, I'm not sure he IS indeed Charles's son! Refusing beer?! Mama's Boy.
